History

CHRIM seemed an ideal fit for me.  My research focuses on how the brain changes with experience and one of the most plastic periods is during development.   One of the best ways to study how the brain works is to investigate questions revolving around why it does not work well, which led to my interest in developmental disorders and developmental brain injury.   My lab uses many tools to study the brain from molecular biology to behavioural neuroscience. CHRIM provides opportunities for collaboration, forums for student presentation, and interaction with researchers with like interests.  The supportive structure for PIs and trainees is also highly appealing.
