Research Focus

My research is in the area of bacterial pathogenicity and oral microbiome. My research program focuses on understanding how pathogens cause infectious diseases in humans and how they interact with the host and with each other in a microbial community. We also investigate the mechanisms of how bacterial pathogens become resistant to antimicrobial drugs
